Yesterday as I drove with an older friend of mine, he was telling me about what he had watched on the news. There’s been a case of insurgency in Nigeria; where terrorist have been making the lives of the people in north eastern part of the country a living hell. Now, he was watching the news and saw these terrorists take over a military barrack, to his greatest amazement, the soldiers took to their heels at the sight of the terrorists.
Oh! As he told me the story, I could feel the pain in his voice, and I asked a question, where are all the loyal citizens of the country? The reason a military man will run in the face of danger is disloyalty. The reason a government official will loot so much at the expense of the common man is disloyalty. There must be a change in this area…
